Come to St. Isidore’s to
Study Afield
The St. Isidore Foundation ultimately plans to offer a fully-residential, four-year undergraduate program as St. Isidore’s College, but we recognize that a full college may take some time to develop. Therefore, we currently plan to begin our programming by offering a St. Isidore’s Gap Year program and then to establish St. Isidore’s Junior College to prepare for the founding of a four-year college.
But we are also interested in offering (somewhere along the way) a “study afield” program, similar to well-known study abroad programs that send students to far-flung places across the globe. The St. Isidore’s Study Afield program would enable students currently enrolled at another college or university to spend a single semester at the St. Isidore’s farm campus to read good books, study math and science both theoretically and practically, as well as to care for plants and animals–all while enjoying the beauty of farm life and the peaceful order of the St. Isidore’s culture (see our “Plan of Life“).
