Mission and Vision

The St. Isidore Foundation exists to promote in a Catholic plan of life the integration of the manual arts and the athletic arts with the liberal arts, the fine arts, and the specialized arts and sciences for the benefit of the whole human person to the glory of God; we are inspired by the Catholic tradition of celebrating manual labor, academic study, and artistic creativity, and we imitate St. Isidore of Seville in academic integrity, St. Isidore the Farmer in humble labor, and both Sts. Isidore in devotion to prayer.

St. Isidore’s College

The St. Isidore Foundation envisions a college that forms students in the Catholic intellectual tradition and the monastic traditions of community, work, and prayer through the integration of core sequences of classes in the liberal arts, science and manual arts, humanities, languages, and fine arts, complemented by a curricular athletic program and an academic major chosen by each student as a disciplinary lens through which to see the goodness, truth, and beauty of the land, animals, and people that surround us.

St. Isidore’s Junior College

The St. Isidore Foundation envisions a junior college that introduces students to the Catholic intellectual tradition of an education grounded in faith, the liberal arts, and the physical realities around us to prepare them for further, specialized study at another college or university.

St. Isidore’s Gap Year

The St. Isidore Foundation envisions a gap year program that offers recent high-school gradates a respite from and preparation for the trials of life that inevitably arise in educational endeavors, trades, and vocations to marriage or religious life by giving those students a beautiful and peaceful place to live, work, study, and pray with other students alongside professors and families who are dedicated to living integrated lives.
