Proposed

MA in Classical Education

Education is personal, and it should be conducted in-person as much as possible. Classical Education, which exists to restore humanity to an enterprise that has been largely dehumanized, should be especially devoted to in-person education. But teachers in classical schools are, obviously, spread across the globe, and it would be difficult (and a bit of a shame) for them to have to move across the country and stop teaching for a year or more in order to earn a degree designed to enable them to become better teachers. So it makes sense to offer remote access to MA programs in Classical Education, but it makes even more sense to require some in-person work in those programs. Our ideal graduate program for Classical Education teachers would thus consist of a sequence of courses to be completed remotely during school years but in-person during intensive-yet-leisurely summer courses held on a family-friendly farmstead. “Read more” for overviews of our proposed curriculum and unique summer program.
